Cerakote is a thin-film ceramic coating technology engineered to deliver exceptional performance in environments where conventional paints, powder coatings, and platings fail. Unlike traditional finishes that rely on thickness for protection, Cerakote uses a ceramic-polymer matrix that chemically bonds to the substrate, forming an ultra-durable protective layer typically measured in microns. 


This allows components to retain tight tolerances, sharp edges, threads, and internal geometries while gaining superior surface protection.

From a technical standpoint, Cerakote excels in corrosion resistance, consistently outperforming legacy coatings in salt spray and humidity testing. Its barrier properties prevent moisture, oxygen, and corrosive chemicals from reaching the base material, making it ideal for automotive, marine, industrial, medical, and petrochemical applications. In addition, Cerakote offers excellent chemical resistance to fuels, oils, solvents, cleaners, and hydraulic fluids, as well as high thermal stability, with specific formulations designed to withstand extreme temperatures and thermal cycling.

Cerakote is also valued for its abrasion and wear resistance, significantly reducing surface degradation caused by friction, handling, and environmental exposure.
